Most tropical fish are born in tropical waters. In the temperate waters near the tropics and on the north and south sides of its junction, fish with ornamental value are also classified as tropical fish. Silver arowana originated in the Amazon Basin of South America and the Nile Basin of Africa, which is typical of tropical fish born in tropical waters.
Silver arowana can only live in waters not lower than 22 degrees Celsius, and is very sensitive to changes in water temperature. Therefore, it is necessary to strictly control the water temperature in the cultivation of silver arowana. Generally speaking, the most suitable temperature range for the growth and development of silver arowana is 24 ℃ ~ 28 ℃. If the temperature is too high or too low, it will bring different harm to the fish. Between 28 ℃ and 32 ℃, the temperature is relatively high. When they live under such conditions, their oxygen consumption will increase greatly, which will easily lead to hypoxia. If the temperature exceeds 32 C, it will directly endanger the life safety of fish.
In addition, too low temperature is not conducive to the growth of fish. When the water temperature is below 24 C, it is already in a low temperature state. When fish live in low temperature, they will not like to swim, lose appetite or even refuse to eat. If the temperature is lower than 22 C, the resistance of fish will gradually decline, ranging from illness to direct death.
