The number of times of oestrus of extremely hot shrimps is not much. Even in the right environment, it can only reproduce twice a year at most. Only sexually mature shrimps can reproduce. Its reproductive process needs to go through three stages: mating, fertilization and hatching. The three stages add up to 4 to 5 months, almost half a year. Moreover, after each reproduction, the mother shrimp needs to rest for a period of time before the second production. Therefore, the reproductive cycle of extreme fire shrimp is much longer than that of other species of shrimp. Generally speaking, the extreme fire shrimp can only reproduce once every 5 to 6 months.
After the extreme fire shrimp is sexually mature, it can breed. After one to two months of growth, the young shrimps can enter the reproductive period. In the natural environment, they like to breed when the temperature is cooler. Specifically, they choose to lay eggs in spring or near the end of summer. If they can provide a suitable environment, their breeding season can not be picked. When the environmental conditions meet the temperature of 24 ℃ ~ 26 ℃, PH value of 6 ~ 9, hardness of 2 ~ 10, and sufficient oxygen in the water, the polar fire shrimp can spawn and reproduce in all seasons.
