There are many varieties of dragon eye goldfish, and most of them can grow to a length of 15-20cm. They are characterized by very large eyes, and the eyeball will protrude from the inside of the eye socket, so they are named dragon eyes. They have a short body, a flat head, a wide head and a high dorsal fin, which is highly ornamental.
Dragon eye goldfish can generally live for 5-6 years. If the breeding environment is particularly suitable for their growth, they may also live for 7-8 years, and a few individuals may even live for 10 years. However, after more than five years of general breeding, they will become old, the color of the body will fade, and the ornamental value will be reduced. So under normal circumstances, about 5 years can be raised for new fish. Of course, if you can't bear to throw away the old fish, you can continue to breed them.
When breeding dragon eye goldfish, water temperature should be between 10-20 ℃. When maintaining, we should feed them regularly every day so that they can develop the habit of eating on time. Each feeding can not feed too much, otherwise the excess feed will remain in the water and pollute the water quality. If the temperature is very low in winter, heating rods can be installed to increase the temperature. If the dissolved oxygen concentration in the water is low, an oxygen pump can be installed to inject some oxygen into the water.
