The adult Thai paradise fish can grow to a length of 5-6cm, slightly longer to a length of about 10cm, and the largest individual can grow to about 15cm. They are not particularly large, but they are more aggressive. Especially two male fish, once they meet, they will start fighting until one side loses. Therefore, it is a kind of ornamental fish suitable for monoculture.
The life span of the Thai betta is not very long. It can live for 2-3 years when it is domesticated. If they could be provided with more suitable environment, they might live longer. They grow faster and can reach adulthood in 3-4 months. Fish that are too small to reproduce as broodstock are not sexually mature. But when they grow up, they have the ability to reproduce and can be used for reproduction.
If you want the Thai fighting fish to live longer, it is recommended to breed them separately. When breeding, the water temperature needs to be kept between 22 and 24 degrees Celsius, and feeding once a day. Feed can choose clean red worms or dry fish food, each feeding so that they can eat 7-8% full. It is recommended to change the water every 7-10 days, about one third of the water can be changed every time, and clean the fish tank by the way, to clean up the fish manure and feed residue.
