The guppy's bloodshot head may have been injured in a fight or accidentally bumped. This condition does not require treatment and can be allowed to recover on its own. It may also be due to gill rot disease, which is characterized by inflammation and congestion of the opercular bone. To treat gill rot, the fish tank should be disinfected first, and then the sick fish should be bathed with crystal trichlorfon or oxytetracycline. It may also be due to white spot disease. This condition can be treated by warming up and adding salt.
What reason is guppy head hyperaemia, how should do?

1. External injury

1. Cause: The congestion of guppy head may be caused by fighting or accidentally bumping into the decorations in the fish tank. The symptoms are swelling and congestion of the head, imbalance of swimming, etc.

2, remedial method: This kind of circumstance does not need to treat commonly, it is OK to let themselves recover slowly. If you want to recover faster, you can give guppies a little anti-inflammatory medicine.

2. Gill rot disease

1. Cause: Guppy gill rot disease is mostly caused by poor water quality or excessive changes in water temperature in a short period of time, which often occurs in spring and autumn every year. The symptoms of the disease are inflammation and congestion of the operculum on both sides of the diseased fish, or decay of the fins.

2. Treatment: 0.02 grams of furacilin powder mixed with 10 kilograms of water can be used for medicated bath treatment of diseased fish. The time of each medicated bath is about 10 minutes. You can also take a medicated bath with 5-8 tablets of oxytetracycline mixed with 100 kilograms of water for about 30 minutes each time.

3. White spot disease

1. Cause: If the water temperature is too low, it will lead to the reproduction and parasitism of Ichthyophthirius, causing the fish to suffer from white spot disease. In the early stage of the disease, there will be sporadic white spots on the fish body, and in the later stage, the white spots will expand, causing congestion in various tissues.

2. Treatment: White spot disease is contagious, so it should be isolated first. Then raise the water temperature in the fish tank and add some sea salt or coarse salt to sterilize it. In addition, water should be changed every day. It will heal in a week or so.
