Therefore, in order to make them develop well and grow faster, we still need to pay attention to the water temperature. In particular, the preferable range is between 15 and 29 degrees. If there are conditions, it can be maintained at more than 20 degrees, which is beneficial to the growth and development of musk turtles, and can be adjusted by heating rods if it is not suitable.
The cold resistance of the musk turtle is relatively good, and it is possible to live in cold water. Although it will affect their activity and appetite to a certain extent, it will not endanger their lives, they generally will not freeze to death. In winter, if the temperature is below 10 degrees, they will enter a state of hibernation and will not freeze to death. Of course, the temperature can not be reduced indefinitely, if below 0 degrees, water will freeze, this situation is naturally not possible, need to be avoided. When the musk turtle enters the state of hibernation, the water temperature should not be lower than 5 degrees.
