Black shell shrimp do not have high requirements for water temperature, because they have strong adaptability and can survive in water of 5-35 degrees Celsius. In the actual cultivation, the water temperature can be controlled between 10 and 30 deg C. This is their optimal temperature for survival. In addition, if conditions permit, it is recommended to control the water temperature between 24-28 C, which is more beneficial to their growth and development.
When raising black shell shrimp, the lowest water temperature should not be lower than 5 ℃. Although they have a certain ability to resist cold, if the water temperature is below 5 C for a long time, they will not be able to tolerate it. If the water temperature is very low, they will stop eating and enter a dormant state. If the water temperature is very low, or even frozen, they will be frozen. In addition, the newborn shrimp cold resistance is weak, do not let the water temperature below 10 C when breeding.
If you want to breed black shell shrimp, it is recommended to control the water temperature between 24-26 degrees Celsius. Because this temperature is more suitable for the growth of young shrimps. In addition to controlling the water temperature, we should also pay attention to enough nutrients and dissolved oxygen in the water. If there is a lack of nutrients or dissolved oxygen, the growth of juvenile shrimp will be much slower, or even unable to grow healthily.
