2. Pay attention to temperature

control. In order to prevent tortoises from freezing to death, we must pay attention to temperature control. However, the temperature control varies according to the way of wintering. If it is hibernation, the temperature should not be higher than 15 C, otherwise it will wake up ahead of time, preferably at about 10 C, the lowest can not be less than 5 C. If it is heated, it is better to control the temperature at 20 C, so that it can eat and grow normally.

3. Reduce feeding

because the temperature will drop in winter, and the turtle itself is a poikilothermic animal, so appetite will be affected, feeding should also be reduced. In order to make it eat, it is best to feed it at noon when it is warm. In addition, if the tortoise hibernates, there is no need to feed it.

in winter, turtles also need to change water, if it is heated for winter, the cycle of changing water is the same as before, so as to maintain water quality.
