Small parrot fish can not be raised with goldfish. The specific reasons can be divided into three aspects.
1. Water temperature: Parrot fish is a tropical fish, the most suitable temperature is about 25-30 degrees, while goldfish is a cold-water fish, the required temperature is about 20-24 degrees. If the water is too cold, the parrot fish will not like to move, and if it is too hot, the goldfish will be uncomfortable, so if the two are kept together, the water temperature is not easy to control.
2. Water quality: Parrot fish like weak acid and refreshing water, while goldfish like neutral and alkaline green water. Both of them have different requirements for water quality and are not close, so they can not be mixed together.
3. Feeding: Parrot fish need to eat some hyperchromic feed regularly to maintain their body color, while goldfish do not need it. And parrot fish are aggressive and may chase or even eat goldfish if they are hungry. Even if they are mixed together from childhood, they will not necessarily change the habits of parrot fish.
The small parrot fish is more suitable for the map fish, angelfish, arowana and scavenger fish with similar size. Because the water quality and temperature they need are similar, they can be raised together.
