There are many kinds of tropical fish, and the life span of different fish is also different. For small tropical fish, such as Mary fish and peacock fish, they can only live for three years. Medium and large tropical fish live much longer, such as arowana or map fish, which can live for about 10-20 years. It is worth mentioning that most fish often fail to live up to their natural life span due to environmental reasons.
1, water temperature is appropriate: the first thing to pay attention to when raising tropical fish is the water temperature. For most fish, the temperature should be maintained between 20-30 degrees Celsius, whether high or low temperature, will be detrimental to their growth. Therefore, the fish tank needs to be paired with heating rods to keep the water temperature constant, so as not to change the temperature and cause the fish to get sick or die.
2. Change the water regularly: It is necessary to change the water when raising any kind of fish. Because no matter how good the filter is, it is difficult to prevent the water quality from decreasing, so regular water change is particularly important. It should be noted that the water must be changed with trapped water, and the temperature between new water and old water should be consistent, up to 1-2 degrees Celsius. When changing water, it is better to pump water from the bottom and then slowly add it from the top.
3. Feed: Feed the tropical fish regularly. The quality of feed also has a certain impact on the growth of fish, if artificial feed is used, fish are easy to be picky, so regularly supplement some live bait, such as tubificidae, water fleas and so on. However, live bait must be well disinfected, otherwise it will make the fish sick.
4. Disease prevention: If the fish is sick, for example, there are white spots or rotten parts on the body, it is necessary to shorten the water change cycle, properly raise the water temperature, and add a little salt. If the disease is serious, it is necessary to fish out the sick fish for medicinal bath treatment.
